Liverpool coach, German Jürgen Klopp, admitted, on Tuesday, that the return of the team’s defense tycoon,
Dutch Virgil van Dyck, who is recovering from a serious knee injury this season, would be a “miracle”.
“No doctor has told me that Virgil will play again this season. I don’t want to say it’s impossible, but it’s not likely,”
Klopp said on the eve of his team’s match against Brighton in the Premier League.
“We have a place for him to register him in the Champions League list. If we find a place for him in the Premier
League list, we will add him to it,” he added.
He continued, “If there is no place for him, then we must make a decision. If he is on the list because we hope for
Liverpool suffered from injuries, especially in its defensive line, where Joe Gomez is absent until the end of
the season before the German coach confirmed the absence of Cameroonian Joel Matip until the end of
the season also after his injury was repeated recently.
Liverpool was forced to strengthen its ranks in this streak by contracting Preston defender Ben Davis and

Liverpool is currently third in the league, four points behind leaders Manchester City, who have a postponed match.
